Paleo??
AKA the Caveman diet. The Paleo diet has been gaining more followers in past years.
Paleo means "relating to how humans lived in past eras" (at least generally) and that gives a pretty good overview of this super healthy diet.
The Paleo diet is known as the 'Caveman' diet because it's focus is on eating animals and plants. No chemicals, no sugar, no grains, no gluten and nothing processed. There are strict rules to follow and the lines between what is and isn't a Paleo food can sometimes be blurry, but if you follow the general rule of eating whole, organic meat, fruits and vegetables only you will have a much easier experience, opposed to carrying a long list of 'Do not's' around with you.
At the bottom of this post you will find a picture which outlines exactly what you can eat on the Paleo diet.
The Caveman diet is so popular that well known chefs have started trying it for themselves.... and then writing books about it! For something so simple, the Paleo way has created a complex fanbase.
The question still remains, why go Paleo?
The benefits are so profuse that I can not possibly name them all, however by eliminating chemicals and other substances that are harmful to our health from your diet the risk of disease, health problems and even cancer can be reduced significantly. The Paleo diet is an all natural healthy way of living and dieters are encouraged to live active lifestyles and spend as much time outside and with nature as they can.
So, are you up for the challenge? The Paleo diet is a sure way to bring your body back to its roots, back to the raw nutrients it needs, without all the harmful stuff.
Give it a go.
